Perfect setting for a relaxing break

The perfect break away – quiet, relaxing & peaceful. Fantastic hosts in Tina & Ray, they made us feel at home & nothing was too much trouble. The Annexe has been finished to a high standard with a large comfortable bed, fantastic shower & a good size kitchen with everything we could need for our stay. Lovely & clean throughout & the riverside location was the icing on the cake. Breakfast was delicious & made even better by being able to look out over the fields as you sip your morning cup of tea. Step outside the Annexe – the peace & quiet is amazing! Fantastic holiday, we wouldn’t fail to recommend Morland to anyone & will definitely return later in the year.

What’s not to like?

Tina, the lady of the house, is brilliant. Pleasantly bonkers but completely professional. This is a B&B, and the beds and breakfasts are perfect, as is the view over the Levels from the conservatory at the front, and over the river at the back. The annex, where I stayed, was really well thought out and is in effect a self-contained flat. And a very nice one at that. You could stay there and not go out. But you should. I would recommend the King Alfred pub to eat and drink. It’s very good indeed.

I have visited Morland on

I have visited Morland on a couple of occasions this year and it has quickly become my favourite place to escape to. Tina and the chickens are the most fantastic hosts from the second that you arrive. Tina has done a fantastic job with the place, everything is within keeping of the properties history and heritage.
Breakfast in the morning is fabulous, the pancakes are phenomenal and there is so much choice; including her own honey produced there. Nothing starts the day better than eating a lovely home cooked breakfast whilst looking out at miles of country side.
(thank you to the chickens that live there and the contribution of their eggs for breakfast!)
The annexe is a great self-contained area with such a comfy bed, one morning we were almost late for breakfast as we didn’t set an alarm and were too cosy! The decking area at the back leading onto the river is a great spot for a drink and a read of your book.
Cannot wait for so many more visits here.

Enjoyable Short Stay

I stayed at Morland B&B for one night as a friend was holding his wedding reception nearby. The house is down a quiet lane next to the river with ample parking. I dealt directly with the hostess for a better rate including breakfast which was certainly worth doing. The twin room was comfortable with tea-making kit, snacks and hangers and also a form for the breakfast the next morning which was delicious. There is also honey for sale direct from the beehive that’s kept on site and the eggs are from the hens as well. Overall very pleasant and I will keep Morland in mind the next time I come down to the West Country. Thanks!

A lovely stay

Many thanks to Tina for a lovely two night stay at Morland. We had the double room – a huge and comfortable four-poster bed. If you’re looking for somewhere peaceful then this is the place – just miles of Somerset levels and lovely sunrises from our bedroom. Tina was very welcoming and her brother even gave us a lift to and from, a local party we were attending. Breakfasts were very good – lots of choice and we enjoyed watching the hens wandering round the garden. We would certainly stay here again – only one thing we might add – a magnifying shaving mirror in the bathroom for my husband to shave and me to put my face on! Otherwise all was perfect. Thank you to Tina and her brother.
